Cure
- ASTM D3359 Method B — Cross-Cut / Cross-Hatch Tape Test. A lattice is cut through the coating to the substrate, pressure-sensitive tape is applied and removed, and adhesion is rated 5B down to 0B. 5B is essentially no coating removed and is the best result.
- ASTM D3359 Method A — X-Cut Tape Test. An X is scribed through the coating, tape is applied and pulled, and adhesion is evaluated based on coating removal.
- ASTM D4541 — Pull-Off Adhesion. A dolly is bonded to the coating and mechanically pulled perpendicular to the surface; the result is reported as an actual adhesion strength, usually psi or MPa.

- ASTM D5402: Standard rest where a rag saturated with MEK is rubbed on the surface under steady pressure
